The Helga Todd Foundation and the Aikarthya Foundation: A New Teach2030 Partnership

Empowering Educators Across India

For 5 years, the Helga Todd Foundation has been a dedicated and valued partner in India, working with Teach2030 with organisations including KEF and Calcutta Rescue to transform teacher training in India. This year, our project with EdIndia has grown significantly, expanding from 32 trainee teachers in 2025 to 80 more teachers across 5 different regions.

Now, we are thrilled to announce a major expansion of our partnership by collaborating with the Aikarthya Foundation (meaning ‘unity’) to bring Teach2030 professional development to the state of Telangana.

The Aikarthya Foundation Telangana Initiative

Through this exciting new partnership, we will be supporting 180 teachers (105 unqualified teachers and 75 qualified teachers) from 11 different schools in Telangana. These educators will participate in 4 Teach2030 courses: Fresh Thinking, Growth Mindset, Practical Active Learner and Planning Lessons to develop foundational teaching skills, and drive greater professional growth and reflective practice.

To ensure teachers feel supported, 6 dedicated facilitators will lead groups of 2-3 schools. They will work closely with the Helga Todd Foundation to implement, monitor, and follow up on the progress of the programme.

Bridging the Gap in Professional Development

Many educators in the region face significant barriers to professional growth. Nauman Sharif, CEO of the Aikarthya Foundation, highlights the impact of this collaboration:

‘Many teachers have limited access to continuous professional development and practical coaching support. They receive little recognition, mentoring, or structured feedback. They often feel isolated and do not get enough opportunities for reflective practice or professional growth.

Teach2030 adds strong value through its focus on reflective practice, teacher mindset, inclusion, independent learning, and structured certification pathways. We believe the module-based learning and certification process can improve teacher motivation, accountability, and long-term professional growth. It also gives teachers exposure to internationally designed professional learning.’

Through this partnership, we can focus on providing structured and certificated teacher professional development through Teach2030. We are excited to help these educators thrive and elevate the standard of education in their communities.
