After the success of our competitions in previous years, we are announcing the launch of our new competition, open to every student. This year’s focus will be: ‘Working with other people makes the world a better place.’
Working together is essential because it creates a team spirit – one that can produce better results that individuals working alone. It fosters innovation, enhances problem-solving skills, allows us to hear diverse perspectives, and share skills. March 9th 2026 is Commonwealth Day – an annual celebration of the 56-member Commonwealth of Nations. It promotes shared values of peace, democracy, and equality among 2.5 billion citizens across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, the Americas, the Pacific, and Europe.
This year’s theme ‘Accelerating Partnerships and Investment for a Prosperous Commonwealth‘ highlights how the 56 member countries of the Commonwealth can face today’s challenges together to create opportunities that can deliver shared and lasting prosperity for everyone — no matter the size of the community.
Between 1st-4th November, 2026, in St John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting will take place. This summit brings together Heads of Government, Ministers, and representatives from business and youth organisations from 56 Commonwealth nations. Here, the theme will be discussed further, along with shared priorities, including education, technology, trade, the climate and sustainable development.
To support this theme, we announce the launch of our new competition on Commonwealth Day (9th March 2026), open to every student in the Commonwealth: ‘Working with other people makes the world a better place.’ This way, young people will have their contribution and voice to support The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
We are welcoming entries from all schools, so why not enter today?
