Whether you are a brand-new teacher or have many years of experience, ‘Being a Professional Teacher’ will help you to become more organised with how you present yourself as a teacher. It will encourage you to apply teaching standards to your practice.
Course objectives:
- Define professionalism and what makes someone a professional teacher
- Outline the teaching standards and explain how you can apply them
- Determine how to behave professionally
- Examine how to develop professional relationships with students, teachers, parents and other educators
- Evaluate examples of good quality professional practice
- Reflect on your own level of professionalism and how to improve it .
The course is mapped to the following Cambridge Standards 3, 4, 7 and 8.
