2025: A Reflection

December: the end of another year. 2026 is lurking around the corner, creeping ever closer. How quickly this year has gone, with it soon to be ticked off as just another year of lives.

It seems like only yesterday that we set goals for the next 12 months. Naturally, this time of year can cause many of us to reflect on this last year and consider:

  • Did we truly achieve what we wanted?
  • What was successful? Was this an unexpected or unplanned success?
  • What didn’t go well?

Whilst also looking back, for so many, December is a time to look forward. The coming weeks may be a religious, spiritual period that brings much joy. We focus on coming together with those in our community; those we love and care for. It can also hold sorrow for those we deeply miss who are sadly no longer with us.

And so, this month can be emotional and a little overwhelming!

Most of us can easily identify moments that went well or badly. We can identify the people who have been there for us. We can identify the people we want to spend New Year’s Eve with. After all, these are key reflections and choices. But, to really move forward and enrich ourselves, we can also focus on the ‘how‘ as well as the ‘what‘ – the process that happened to reach that outcome or decision:

  • How did you achieve success? What were the steps undertaken?
  • How did you meet your goals? Who did you need to get you there?
  • How did these people come to be important in your lives? Which actions did they take?

Sometimes, we can give ourselves a really hard time. Things inevitably do not go to plan and they go wrong. But, reflecting on the ‘how‘ can teach us lessons. If we learn something, then it immediately means there has been a success because we have grown. Failure simply no longer exists. It’s this growth mindset that will get us through the challenging times.

For Teach2030, 2025 has been extraordinary. We now have 40,580 teachers registered on the site from 155 countries. 5 years ago, we could never have imagined that we would have spanned the globe so vastly. But, this year, we achieved it. That’s not to say that everything went perfectly; it rarely does. So, how did we get to this point? Hard work, grit, determination and a truly dedicated team certainly contributed, but without our Teach2030 community it simply would not have been possible. From the comments, shares and likes in social media to the commitment of our Teach2030 Ambassadors, each person who has ever enrolled onto our site has played their part in making Teach2030 what it is today. And we simply cannot wait to see what 2026 brings.

We wish you all a very happy festive season and a healthy 2026 that is full of opportunity and positivity. We’ll see you in January!
