We are delighted to announce the release of our 2024 Impact Report. Teach2030 is brought to you by The Commonwealth Education Trust.
This annual report is an essential part of measuring the effectiveness of our work, which we do under 3 overarching categories:
- Reach: where teachers are geographically based and how far globally our courses extend.
- Enrolment: the number of teachers accessing and completing our courses.
- Improvement: the development of both teaching and digital skills.
This year, we are celebrating. Our reach, enrolment and improvement levels are all significantly higher than 2023. Since December 2023, our registered users have increased by 84%, whilst our total course users have increased by 106%. We have reached more teachers, in more countries – that’s 148 countries in total in 2024.
So, why is this important? We invest in teachers in low- and middle-income settings by providing accessible teacher professional development. This work is vital, as according to the UNESCO Institute of Statistics, in parts of sub-Saharan Africa, only 62% of primary school teachers have the minimum teaching qualifications. Lifelong learning opportunities and economic growth are therefore being stunted, despite all children deserving a quality education from a transformative and supportive teacher.
Within this year’s report, and as part of our pillar to elevate teachers’ voices, we share stories from our teachers, as a way of raising awareness of local level issues and Teach2030 solutions. Hear from our ambassadors, who showed great initiative in creating and attending events that help promote our work in their local communities. Through their hard work and dedication, our teaching materials are more contextualised and relevant.
Not only does this year’s Impact Report discuss the results of our work and create a culture of transparency, it also helps us to reflect and identify our greatest needs and targets for 2025. By 2025, we aim to reach 42,000 teachers and we are positive that we can achieve this goal.
