Introducing Inclusion and Diversity – Partner

Do all of your students feel welcome and respected in your classroom and school? Or, are some quiet and excluded? In this course, discover your students’ identities and how to adapt your planning, language and behaviour to make them feel more included. Learn different strategies to use in the classroom to encourage tolerance.

This course has the following objectives: 

• To define identity, bias, discrimination, inclusion and exclusion
• To plan an inclusive lesson in reference to identity, learning styles and special education needs
• To apply inclusive language and behaviour in the classroom
• To create an inclusive learning environment with opportunities for students to become more tolerant and accepting
• To reflect on classroom practice and help develop agents for change
